For one of our customers, a high end resort mentioned in Michelin Guide for hotel recommendation in Romania, we are looking for a
Waiter/ Host.
As a Waiter/ Host, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. Working in a high-end restaurant, you will provide impeccable service, demonstrate extensive knowledge of the menu and wine list, and ensure that every guest receives personalized attention and a memorable culinary experience.
Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Provide detailed explanations of menu items, specials, and wine pairings.
- Cater to guests' specific preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Provide information regarding the entire experience paying attention to the customer’s needs.
Order Taking:
- Accurately and efficiently take food and beverage orders.
- Relay orders to the kitchen and bar, ensuring proper timing and coordination.
- Address any special requests or modifications to the chef.
Knowledge and Expertise:
- Possess an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and culinary techniques.
- Stay informed about daily specials, seasonal offerings, and any changes to the menu.
- Stay updated on wine and beverage selections to provide recommendations.
- Provide the best service and customer-oriented experience.
Table Maintenance:
- Monitor tables and ensure they are set according to the restaurant's standards.
- Attend to table needs promptly, such as refilling water glasses and clearing empty plates.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Problem Resolution:
- Address guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and a commitment to resolution.
- Coordinate with the restaurant manager or kitchen staff to resolve issues promptly.
Upselling and Recommending:
- Proactively suggest additional menu items, beverages, or special features.
- Encourage guests to explore various culinary options and enhance their dining experience.
- Provide additional information regarding the entire experience the company offers for their customers beyond the standard gourmet experience.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to maintain a cohesive and efficient work environment.
Training and Development:
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge, service skills, and overall performance.
- Mentor junior staff members and share insights into delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a waiter in a fine dining, as part of a 5 stars hotel member or an international cruise.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
