For one of our clients, a leading global supplier of industrial connectivity technology, for 3 lifelines: Data, Signal, and Power, we are currently looking for a
Senior Accountant
to join their Finance Team from Sibiu.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Support:
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the preparation and posting of journal entries;
- Conducting financial analysis and reporting to support accurate financial statements and management decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures;
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- 3. Payment and Vendor Management:
- Overseeing the efficient processing of vendor payments, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements;
- Collaborating with accounts payable team members to resolve payment-related issues and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- 4. Tax Compliance:
- Assisting in tax compliance matters, including the support of preparation of tax reporting.
- 5. Support to US and Mexican Accounting Teams:
- Providing assistance and guidance to colleagues in the US and Mexican accounting departments, supporting their day-to-day activities, including payment processing.
- 6. Development and Implementation of Accounting Policies and Controls:
- Assist in the implementation of accounting policies, controls, and processes;
- Contribute to the evaluation and enhancement of internal controls to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance;
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger activities, payments management, and tax compliance;
- Accounting Standard Knowledge: Knowledge of US-GAAP (German GAAP is a plus);
- Proficiency in SAP;
- Advanced Excel Skills for data analysis, financial reporting, and process improvement;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide colleagues.
