For one of our clients, a multinational company of construction materials, we are looking for a
Production Manager.
Summary: The main responsibilities of this role include planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, and leading the production sub-department. This involves overseeing production processes, equipment, facilities, resources, and workforce in the factory to achieve maximum productivity while ensuring the regular production of products in line with quality standards and consumption plans. Analysing production reports to identify opportunities for performance improvement, leading, supporting, and coaching Shift Team Leaders, and promoting a positive safety culture within the production team and beyond. Additionally, acting as a role model in upholding Company values and Continuous Improvement (CI).
Responsibilities:
- Manage the production process in terms of equipment and resources to maximize productivity.
- Ensure timely production of products meeting quality requirements and cost targets.
- Analyse production reports to identify issues and propose solutions for performance improvement.
- Collaborate with other (sub)department managers to communicate current and future requirements and plan production activities accordingly.
- Identify employee training needs, provide guidance on organizing training, and monitor its implementation in line with Quality System procedures, instructions, and other documents.
- Define the required number of qualified employees based on adopted plans and company strategy.
- Ensure compliance with legal regulations within the jurisdiction.
- Prepare and monitor the implementation of the budget for the sub-department, ensuring costs remain within approved limits.
- Collaborate with Process and Quality sub-departments to optimize product quality.
- Coordinate with Purchasing for timely and optimal procurement of raw materials according to the production plan.
- Work with Engineering sub-department to optimize equipment availability within target maintenance costs.
- Organize, lead, control, develop, and motivate the team to achieve production goals.
- Ensure compliance with environmental protection, health, and safety regulations, implementing programs for resource conservation, recycling, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and providing conditions for healthy and safe work.
- Perform tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Serve as a role model for values and continuous improvement (CI).
- Perform other activities as directed by the line manager, based on knowledge, education, and abilities.
- Act as an active member of the Plant Management team.
- Participate in recruitment for the production function to ensure a capable workforce for future business challenges.
Requirements:
- Advanced level of English.
- Bachelor Degree - mechanical or electrotechnical (preferred)
- Good experience in a similar position: min 3 years
- Experience in a startup plant will be considerate a plus
- Other Skills: Excellent communication, independence, initiative, organizational and leadership skills, teamwork, and experience in leadership within a continuous production process environment.
- Driving License: Category B
- PC Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP production module.
