For one of our clients, a leading global supplier of industrial connectivity technology, for 3 lifelines: Data, Signal and Power, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join them as a
Global Controlling Expert,
for their office in Sibiu.
The company offers a wide range of products used in diverse industries such as electrical and energy, automotive and rail transport, medical, industrial devices, automation, radio transmission, embedded computing, and telecommunications.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating strong connections through:
Management & Information System:
- Ensure Master Data Quality of the HARTING plants worldwide Interface to Corporate Controlling Reporting Factory for requests related to operations controlling
- Creation of internal orders and coordination of the related process, ensure a standardized approach worldwide (e.g. types of internal orders)
- Point of contact concerning WBS elements, especially related to R&D projects to ensure to correct steering of development projects.
- Point of contact concerning cost centers and cost center hierarchies , support in case of questions
- Profit Center Maintenance (creation of new profit centers, maintain validity)
- Support Investments concerning AFI
- Preparation of the workflow and related documents
- Payback calculations
- Support various areas on the creation (content and project description, follow-up during the approval process)
- Support Month End Closing Activities in S4
- Creation and Release of provisions
- Lowest Value Determination
- Data validation after month end closing
- Get involved in Black Line Smart Close – Control Automated Tasks (e.g. Month End Process, Execution of Allocation cycles, Monthly Calculation runs, Planning Process)
- Support and perform Ad-Hoc Analysis
Functional Objectives:
- Acts in accordance with the Finance Strategy
- Acts as a proactive and strategic business partner for local, GBU and corporate management
- Expert knowledge in SAP S/4, including Product Costing, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting
- Knowledge in all used analytical applications such as BW, BPC/EPM, PowerBI and SAP Analytics Cloud
- Initiating of global improvement initiatives
- Ensure best practice sharing within the plants
- Identify and implement potentials for optimization and improvement
Education and professional knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years experience in Controlling position and / or Financial Management within a production company, preferrable in an international environment
- University Business/Finance Degree and/or appropriate Accounting/Finance Qualification level
- Excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Fluent English language is essential
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience in Accounting Business software packages, preferably SAP, including Business Warehouse, Business Objects & Business, Planning & Consolidation
- Knowledge of lean management methods would be an advantage
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Highly organized with previous experience of coaching and training others
- Professional and able to handle confidential information
- A willingness to travel overseas occasionally
