For one of our clients, a leading global supplier of industrial connectivity technology, for 3 lifelines: Data, Signal, and Power, we are currently looking for a talented and motivated individual to join them as a Specialist General Ledger, for their office in Sibiu.

The Specialist General Ledger will maintain precise and up-to-date records in the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accounted for correctly.

Main responsibilities:

  • Transaction Recording: Record financial transactions in the general ledger, including journal entries, adjustments, and accruals.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of ledger accounts, including bank accounts, and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze variances between actual financial results and budgets/forecasts, explaining significant differences.
  • Internal Control Compliance: Adhere to internal controls and procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other accounting and finance team members, such as AP, AR, and tax specialists, to ensure comprehensive financial management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to processes and systems to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the general ledger function.

The ideal candidate:

  • Education: University degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Position level: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Professional skills: relevant experience in the General Ledger area.
  • Skills: Microsoft office advanced (especially Excel).
  • Accounting Tool: Safe handling of accounting processes in SAP FI.
  • Advanced English Level (B2-C1);
  • Personality: High communication skills and strong team spirit. Positive attitude to work as a business service partner. Willingness to work in an international environment.
